Rededication Anniversary This year Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, Mankato, Minnesota will be honoring and praising God for the fiftieth anniversary of the rededication of our sanctuary. After the church was struck by lightning and burned to the ground on July 4, 1971, it took over a year for the structure to be restored. Worship resumed on November 19, 1972. We plan to give thanks to God for His wonderful work among us in our regular worship services held on November 12-13, 2022. We plan to have historical displays of the events of that year of rebuilding and other memorabilia from the old church. All are invited and welcome to join us for this event as we thank God for being with us through fifty years of faithful proclamation of His Word and Sacraments in our “new” church!
